All NEC IP-Telephony System requires the system firmware (Operating System) to be loaded into the CPU card. With this firmware it addresses certain resolved issues (bug-fix) and also new interesting features that comes with this new version.

For the NEC SL1000 the first official launch version is that V1.00 and it is called the main firmware.
