NEC SL1000 Hardware / Software Equipment List

Over here i will explain in details on the usage of each individual hardware/software part items in the NEC SL1000 Equipment List;

• IP4WW-1632M-A KSU SL1000 Main KSU with AC Cable

  - Motherboard (IP4WW-408M-A1)
  - CPU (IP4WW-CPU-A1)
  - AC Cable (round 2-pins type)

Usage => The hardware concept of the NEC SL1000 revolves around main system and expansion system chassis (KSU). For NEC SL1000 we can have up to 4 systems chassis (1 main + 3 expansion). This item is the main system chassis. All access for loading of licenses, programming of the system is done in the unit. Each system chassis can house another additional 3 cards.

• IP4WW-1632ME-A EXP SL1000 Expansion KSU with AC Cable
  <Contents>
  - Power Supply (MPS6930)
  - Motherboard (IP4WW-408M-A1)
  - Bus Card (IP4WW-EXIFE-C1)
  - AC Cable (round 2-pins type)

Usage => This is the expansion chassis. It is a dummy and it won't work by itself, it will need to connect to the main chassis IP4WW-1632M-A KSU in order to function. Each system chassis can house another additional 3 cards.

• IP4WW-408E-A1 4 Analog Trunks + 8 Hybrid Extensions Card

Usage => This card comes with 8 hybrid extension port and 4 analog CO trunk. Can be mounted in the main/expansion chassis.

• IP4WW-008E-A1 8 Hybrid Extensions Card

Usage => This card comes with 8 hybrid extension port only. Can be mounted in the main/expansion chassis. Also it can be used to mount the ISDN BRI IP4WW-2BRIDB-C1 card. Can be mounted in the main/expansion chassis.  

• IP4WW-000E-A1 0 Trunk/Extension Card for ISDN BRI

Usage => Strange this is a 000 card, nothing !!! Ok by itself, it is nothing can't do shit. This board serves as the mounting card for the ISDN BRI IP4WW-2BRIDB-C1 daughterboard card.

• IP4WW-12TXH-A-TEL (WH) 12 Keys, Hybrid (4W) Multi-Line Terminal (White) 
• IP4WW-12TXH-A-TEL (BK) 12 Keys, Hybrid (4W) Multi-Line Terminal (Black) 
• IP4WW-24TXH-A-TEL (WH) 24 Keys, Hybrid (4W) Multi-Line Terminal (White) 
• IP4WW-24TXH-A-TEL (BK) 24 Keys, Hybrid (4W) Multi-Line Terminal (Black)

Usage => Digital phones for NEC SL1000, it comes in 2 buttons configuration type; 12 & 24. 2 colors are available; black or white.

• IP4WW-60D DSS-A console (WH) 60 Keys, Hybrid (4W) DSS Console (White) 
• IP4WW-60D DSS-A console (BK) 60 Keys, Hybrid (4W) DSS Console (Black)  

Usage => This is the 60 add-on keys for the digital phones. 2 colors are available; black or white.

• DP-D-1D DOORPHONE BOX 
• HS.D503DOR-A, Doorphone DOORPHONE BOX  

Usage => Both of these items are doorphone unit. You can connect either doorphone to the 6th or 7th hybrid port of the NEC SL1000 system. Hmm it seems that the volume of the DP-D-1D is better. So please use this unit, strongly recommended.

• IP4WW-EXIFB-C1 Bus Card for Main KSU to connect EXP KSUs

Usage => This card is required when you have another expansion chassis besides the main unit. It is mounted in the main chassis of the NEC SL1000.

• IP4WW-MEMDB-C1 Expansion Memory Card for capacity & feature expansion (for WW)

Usage => This card is used in many scenarios; expansion chassis requirement, support ip phones, increase VRS/VM ports, etc. Mounted on the CPU card in the main chassis.

• IP4WW-2BRIDB-C1 2 ISDN BRI Daughter Board

Usage => ISDN-2 card. It can be mounted in either 008 (IP4WW-008E-A1) or 000 (IP4WW-000E-A1) card. Can be mounted in the main/expansion chassis.

• IP4WW-1PRU-C1 1 ISDN PRI/E1/T1 Card

Usage => ISDN-30 card. It is a main board by itself. Can be mounted in the main/expansion chassis. *IMPORTANT NOTE: ONLY 1 CARD PER SYSTEM CHASSIS.

• PZ-VM21 Embedded VRS/Voice Mail Card

Usage => This card servers 2 purposes, one is the build-in modem for remote access, another is to be the place holder for the VRS/VM CF card to have AA menus and voicemail functionality. Mounted in the CPU card in the main chassis.

• IP4WW-CFVRS-C1 VRS CF Card

Usage => Compact Flash Card. This card only has VRS functionality, to be mounted in the PZ-VM21 card.

• IP4WW-CFVMS-C1 VRS / 15H In-Mail CF Card 
• IP4WW-CFVML-C1 VRS / 40H In-Mail CF Card  

Usage => Compact Flash Card. This card has VRS/VM functionality, to be mounted in the PZ-VM21 card. Difference between the 2 cards is in the voicemail mailbox storage hours. 

• IP4WW-Battery Box External Backup Battery Box
  (Battery itself is NOT attached)

Usage => Battery Box to provide extended power supply to the NEC SL1000 system during power outage. *Batteries need to be sourced locally. 

• IP4WW-VOIPDB-C1 VoIP Gateway Card (16ch)

Usage => New item in NEC SL1000 V1.5 release. NEC SL1000 now officially supports IP phones (NEC IP Phones or 3rd-party Standard SIP phones). This card is mounted in the CPU card in the main system chassis. It comes with 16 DSP resources, meaning it can provide TDM-IP, IP-TDM conversion for up to 16 voice calls. IP phones register to the NEC SL1000 via this port. 

• IP4WW-24TIXH-C-TEL (WH) 24 Keys, IP Multi-Line Terminal (White) 
• IP4WW-24TIXH-C TEL (BK) 24 Keys, IP Multi-Line Terminal (Black)  

Usage => IP phones for NEC SL1000, it comes in 1 button configuration type; 24. 2 colors are available; black or white. Main difference here is that it supports hands-free speaker conversation (full-duplex).

• AC-LE UNIT AC/DC ADAPTER FOR 24TIXH TEL
  (W/O AC CABLE)

Usage => AC/DC Adaptor for the NEC IP phone.
